Repossi is pleased to unveil a new chapter of the Chromatic Sapphires collection, featuring 16 new pieces. In 2022, Maison Repossi presented its first Chromatic Sapphires collection for the first time, celebrating its partnership with Moyo Gems and promoting inclusion, diversity, and the invaluable work of women gem miners in Tanzania. Since the launch, 112 exceptional stones have been set in 64 unique pieces, showcasing the singular craftsmanship and artistry of the Maison.
“This initiative of female miners is particularly touching to me. We are proud to highlight their unique and sublime stones within our collections,” said Anne de Vergeron, Chairman and CEO of Repossi. Each piece of jewelry is meticulously handcrafted to enhance the exquisite beauty of Maison’s gemstones.

For this edition, Repossi has inverted the creative paradigm by reversing the stone selection process. The magnificent Tanzanian sapphires from the Umba Valley have been selected and grouped by women miners who unearthed them. Originally selected for their pear shape, the Maison's signature, these sapphires are now in emerald, oval, and cushion cuts, assembled this year to honor the five women miners who discovered them: Anna, Bahati, Raheli, Salma, and Naserian.
The unique characteristic of the sapphires from the Umba Valley in northern Tanzania is their wide range of color tones and their ability to change colors depending on light exposure, ranging from monochromatic pastel shades of orange, powder pink, and blue-grey to intense khaki green tones. These singular colors are highlighted by the iconic Serti sur Vide setting, paying tribute to the Maison's Neo-Portés.

When Repossi was introduced to Moyo Gems, a responsible miner-to-market gemstone collaboration enabling total traceability of the supply chain in the East African precious stones market, the idea of this partnership was an obvious choice. This program aligns perfectly with the ever-growing demand for transparency and responsibility, offering a new model of ethical jewelry for the entire industry.
The initiative also highlights female empowerment and sisterhood. In collaboration with Moyo Gems and the TAWOMA program (Tanzanian Women Miners Association), Repossi has helped contribute to the financial independence of female gemstone miners, improving their working conditions and safety to create stable, equitable markets for fair trade gemstones in Tanzania, fighting against the black market.

Commitment to sisterhood and ethics are values treasured by Repossi. It was important for the Maison to engage its brand awareness to highlight this initiative and help improve the working conditions of women in the precious stones industry.
The new collection features 16 unique pieces in rose and white gold. Each sapphire composition was discovered by a woman gem miner. Therefore, Anna's sapphires adorn seven of Repossi’s pieces, Bahati's sapphires embellish four pieces, and Salma, Naserian, and Raheli's sapphires each adorn one unique piece.
